🌊❄️ Brand New Queer Hike 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Gather, salty sea sprites and dune-dwelling darlings! 🌊✨

On January 31st, we’re swapping forests for sea air with a Queer Coast Hike from Scheveningen (The Hague) to Katwijk aan Zee, wandering through the wild beauty of the Meijendel nature reserve.
Expect rolling dunes, endless beaches, quiet small lakes, and that special winter hush where we might (if in luck) spot the reserve’s most elusive resident: the lonely otter gliding through the reeds. 🦦🌾

🌊❄️ What to expect?
We’ll hike along a stunning mix of dunes and beaches along the North Sea. There will be several moments to pause, breathe, and take dramatic seaside selfies. 📸🌬️
And because tradition bends but never breaks: we’ll finish in Katwijk aan Zee with a New Year’s Dive: fashionably late, on the very last day of January. 🧊🏊‍♀️ Of course you can also opt for a hot chocolate at a beach bar instead ☕

🥾 Difficulty: Easy to moderate — sandy paths, dunes with slight elevation, and beach walking
🧥 Tip: Bring warm layers, windproof gear, swimwear, and something cozy (and dry!) for after the dive

🕙 Gathering time: 10:00
🚆 Travel schedule: Train to Den Haag HS at 10:18 (platform 4) ➡️ arrival at Den Haag HS station at 11:23 ➡️Tram 9 to Scheveningen Noord ➡️ arrival at tram stop Zwarte Pad at 11:54
❗You can also travel on your own from another direction and meet us along the way or in Den Haag HS or Zwarte Pad (Scheveningen)

🚗 If you come by car, you can park around Zwarte Pad (mostly for free in winter). Please arrive there by 12!

🚶🏾After a round of introductions, we start walking around 12:10

❌ If you signed up and cannot make it in the end, please cancel your RSVP attendance so we know how many people will show up and someone else can take your place instead.
