The Improv Community of Eindhoven presents an improvisational theater workshop about editing long-form improv, taught by Spyros Chatzizacharrias and Jon Irigoyen.

Editing is essential in long-form improv. It is the glue that connects the different scenes of a set, the river that guides us from one point of a story to the next! It gives the audience the feeling of coherence and the players a variety of tools for storytelling. In this workshop you challenge the question that keeps backlines on their toes and improvisers awake at night: WHEN DOES A SCENE END!!?!! You learn different types of editing, from the most gimmick ones to the most organic ones that make scripted theatre blink, and apply them in long-form sets! Are you curious to see how you can bring your scenes together in a long-form set? Do you want to drill your editing instinct or discover new editing techniques? Then this workshop is for you!

The workshop takes place on Sunday 19 October from 10:00-17:00 (including one hour for lunch). The location is to be announced. The cost of the workshop is €80.

The Improv Community of Eindhoven can provide financial assistance to participants in need. If this is you, please email us. You can also email us if you have any questions. Our contact is: improvcommunityeindhoven@gmail.com.
