📢 SPECIAL CLASS BY NEX QUESADA 📢(instead of regular drop-in)

Instead of our regular Tuesday Intro to Improv drop-ins, this Tuesday (30/06/2026) we have a special class by Nex Quesada (@nexquesada_) ! Same time, same room, but something very unique!

Nex is an improviser from Costa Rica who will be teaching this one-off exclusive drop-in. It will be a workshop suitable for beginners and intermediate improvisers - meaning anyone who has done any form of improv before (even just 1 class or workshop) is welcome - anyone with more than 0 experience.
The workshop will be about a type of improv that is done in Costa Rica, specifically narrative story telling.

It’s an invitation to rediscover how we tell stories—those that naturally emerge in a scene and evolve as we improvise—through the Costa Rican approach to improv, where clarity and meaning are central and accessible to everyone. In this beginner-friendly MasterClass, led by Nex Quesada, director of the Costa Rican Improv League (LTI in Spanish), participants explore storytelling as an inherent instinct, using Aristotelian structure as a simple, practical framework. By connecting with the fundamentals of beginning, middle, and end, even those new to improv learn how to build scenes that unfold with coherence, purpose, and a sense of meaningful resolution.

Introduction to Improvisational Theatre

Improv gives adults the excuse to play make-believe - we play games, tell stories, and become new characters, and we NEVER use a script.

Why Improv? It helps people make friends, become more confident, lower their inhibitions, and to just have fun.

These regular classes are designed to be accessible for absolute beginners. All levels of experience are welcome to join in the community. We have many regulars, all of whom were once just like you - people looking for fun, community, and laughter (our RSVPs do not often accurately represent our headcount).

There are no prerequisites, come as you are!
