Percussion is freedom, and freedom is dreamy but also akin to chaos.
Chaos, though, can be intense and gutteral, and thusly is the drumming ethos.

In this event, The Godown welcomes back talented drummer, percussionist and passionate spirit Andreas Panteli, to perform original songs from his upcoming percussion album Jazzbroomsticked. The purpose of this concert is to show the breadth of percussive instruments both throughout music genres including jazz, rock, classical and others, as well as in the variability and unwavering magic of drum notes.

Having recently completed the incredible feat of a 170 hour drumming marathon to raise money for victims of war, Andreas is hosting this event to resume those amazing fundraising efforts by the community to help people in need. The event is also the result of a collaboration with the newly founded charity organisation Peace with Smiles (http://www.peacewithsmiles.com/) and the Red Cross.

Join us for this wonderful event to contribute to a great cause using the power of live music. Doors open at 7.30pm with event starting at 8.00pm.
