Wat we doen
We're psychology enthusiasts and we like to know what makes people tick. :)
The MBTI is a system of 16 personality types, inspired by psychologist Carl Jung. We use the idea of personality types to create a conversation about who we are and what our passions are. The MBTI has been around since the 1950s, and is the biggest and most popular tool for personal growth out there, and so, ofcourse, here in Amsterdam.
Come hangout with us, we have a healthy mix of regulars, locals, internationals, and first-timers on all of our events. Find out your personality type by taking a personality test:

Are personality types a pseudoscience?
The idea of the MBTI personality traits is well-documented in psychology but personality types are more like approximations to simplify and make the study of personality easy for laymen to get interested in the field.
Ultimately, everyone has a unique personality, but we use personality types to make some quick generalizations and keep things easy for everyone. Personality types have been found to be statistically consistent over time and can even be used to make fairly accurate predictions about your career, lifestyle, and relationships.
How long has this group been around and what do you do?
We have a long history in Amsterdam and a large group. Our events get up to 30 participants, and it's usually half regulars and half newcomers. We do a mix of events. Potluckes, picnics, workshops, and just casual drinks and hangouts. On our events we talk about anything related to life, relationships, psychology, or philosophy.

Alles weergeven- Myers Briggs (MBTI) PicnicHet Vondelpark, the field by Het Openluchttheater, Amsterdam
INFJ or ENFP? Or something else entirely? Don't know your personality or want to understand yourself & others better? Join for a fun picnic with the Myers-Briggs community in Amsterdam! We're introverts and extroverts, iNtuitives and sensors, and everything in between. Our meetups are like an open cafe where anyone can bring a question to ponder. What makes you an introvert and how can introverts be different from extroverts? What kind of job should you pursue and how can you find happiness in life as an iNtuitive? What should you do with all that creativity anyways? And how do you deal with the feeling of being "weird", "different" or "misunderstood"? What does personal growth mean? These are just some of the topics that can come up. We volunteer as people - not scientists or experts, just people trying to understand people. Bring something small to eat or drink, or a blanket to sit on.
