Tea Meditation:A Path of Transformation

Silent tea drinking transforms tea into a portal to deeper meditation. Without striving, the being settles naturally into a state of mindful presence.

Through Tea Meditation, the spirit finds calm and the body enters profound relaxation. In this tranquil space, we become attuned to the body’s deeper needs, allowing the tea’s energy to flow gently where healing is called for.

Meditative tea practice also brings heightened awareness and insight into our past and future. This clarity nurtures a richer understanding of ourselves—unveiling intuition and awakening inner wisdom.

Introduction of the facilitators:

Bommie, from Brabant, and Xi, from China, met in India. For nearly two decades, they have traveled the world together while deepening their shared practice of meditation. Since 2008, their studio, Sushumna Center, has offered holistic learning experiences in multiple locations. The center advocates embodying “the Way” in daily life, guiding individuals to live with greater awareness, authenticity, and wholeness.

Founded in Beijing in 2008, Sushumna Center (SC) has facilitated a wide range of meditation programs—from weekly Vipassana sessions and five-day mindfulness retreats to pilgrimages to sacred sites in India—reaching thousands across the country.

In 2012, after relocating to Dali, Yunnan Province, SC introduced a new offering: “Paramita Tea Meditation.” Since its inception, this program has been shared with thousands of participants through more than 300 sessions.

In 2025, SC moved to Eindhoven, where it continues to offer meditation guidance to all who seek it along the path.
