Real-time fast data in a microservice architecture - Mark van Gool, Wehkamp

Details
We’re excited to see you on Tuesday, November 13, for the Merapar Meetup: “Real-time fast data in a microservice architecture - where software-architecture meets data-architecture”. You’re welcome at our office from 18:00 onwards to grab a snack and drinks before we start at 18:45 with the MeetUp.
For this MeetUp we have invited Mark van Gool, data architect and product owner at Wehkamp.
Mark van Gool will take us along in the journey of Wehkamp in changing their e-commerce platform to a micro-service oriented solution. Think about microservices, kafka, (big-) data processing and data lakes, all hosted on AWS. How do you assure in an e-commerce environment in which a lot of data is generated and consumed, data is (near) real-time transported and distributed with as less dependencies and coupling as possible. This is where software-architecture and data-architecture meet each other.
At the end of the presentation he will demonstrate a mobile kafka cluster, and you all will be invited to interact with it.
