Summit: These two days are dedicated to Resilient to be, Empowered to act. The planetary crises refer to the set of interconnected global challenges – such as war, climate change, biodiversity loss, and social inequality – that together pose a profound threat to life on Earth. It seems we can no longer make sense of the world with the logic we have been using for so long. This event offers a rich program of inspiring teachings, presentations, meditations, and a shared dialogue from a Buddhist perspective. We are organizing this weekend, because we care about what is happening and we think we might have something to offer that is beneficial to you.

### Why participate?

  • Because you are touched by what is happening in the world
  • To explore together how we can deepen our Dharma practice and connect it to what is happening in the world, so we can contribute in more effective ways
  • To gain insights into how we can support one another in remaining calm, resilient, and act compassionately, and how we can be a refuge – for ourselves and for others
  • To feel supported by a community in these times

### Program

  • Morning: filled with inspiring talks and meditations (see contributors)
  • Afternoon: engaging in deep listening and connecting exercises from the amazing work of Joanne Macy. Joanna Macy is a Tibetan Buddhist scholar, systems thinker, and eco-philosopher whose work empowers people to face the ecological and social crises of our time with courage, compassion, and a sense of interconnection.
