Group Weekend Getaway to Porto (and Madeira), Portugal – June 20–22 (Flexible)

Join us for a group trip to the beautiful city of Porto! This is a great chance to travel with others, share experiences, and enjoy reduced costs through group bookings.

Trip Dates:
Main Plan: Friday, June 20 – Sunday, June 22
We may adjust by 1 day earlier or later to get the best flight prices – let us know your flexibility!

Trip Highlights:
• Friday Night: Arrive in Porto, visit the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge lit up at night, and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
• Saturday: Hike along the Douro River and spend time at Matosinhos beach.
• Sunday: Explore more of Porto, enjoy local food, and try the famous Portuguese cookies.

Optional Extended Trip – Madeira
If we see enough interest, we’re open to organizing a longer plan starting from June 17 or 18 until June 22, including a visit to Madeira!
If you like this idea and can join during these dates, please register via Meetup and let us know. We’ll organize the extended plan based on group interest.

Costs & Deposit:
• Final costs will be shared once the group is confirmed.
• Early bird deadline: Register by June 1 or when 4 people have signed up – whichever comes first.
After this date, prices may go up since you’ll miss out on group booking deals.

If you want to come to Porto only for the weekend, your flight would be from June 20th to 22nd.

If you’d like to visit Madeira as well, we’d need to book three flights:
• June 18: Amsterdam to Madeira
• June 20: Madeira to Porto
• June 22: Porto to Amsterdam or Eindhoven

The flight prices may increase if we book later. I estimate the total cost for flights (including Madeira) to be around €350 for now, but that could change. Hotel costs would be around €150 per person for the entire trip if we’re at least 5 people; otherwise, it could be more. We also have the option to camp in Madeira, which could be a fun and cheaper alternative!
