Amsterdam City Swim 2025

Swim for a good cause !

Amsterdam City Swim is back on September 7th 2025 for the fundraising against ALS.

ALS is a neurodegenerative disease that slowly degrades your body while you are still fully mentaly capable. It takes on avarage 4 years, is deadly, and so far no cure has been found. But research is progressing!

Amsterdam City Swim was started by a group of 14 friends as one of them contracted the disease. He’s was 30 years old, died since, but the event has gained a lot pf traction and monentu and is a major fundraiser of the search - more than 18 million euros raised since 2011

ATAC participated for the first time last year, a group of 10 people and we raised 3600 euros

The goal is to exceed that number in 2025!

The summary:

• 2,1km swim, in the beautiful surroundings of the Amsterdam Canals
• The water current helps you - so don't worry about the distance
• You get a free coke and shower at the end to clean just in case
• Beers, frenchs fries and a live concert to celebrate !
