Small Talk Meetup: Making Deep Connections with Small Talk
Details
Welcome to the Small Talk Meetup.
I used to hate small talk until I came across this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaW1RgqIOqA
This event is designed to improve social skills, build charisma, and gain confidence in engaging with new people -nothing you would gain from reading a book or being glued to a screen.
The idea is to avoid the big talk as much as possible and play social & fun games instead.
Here's the plan:
Two Truths and a Lie: We introduce ourselves with three statements, two of which are true and one is a lie. then the group try to guess which statement is the lie for each participant by asking questions. (would be nice if you prepare your 3 statements beforehand)
The Observation Game: One person leaves, and the remaining participants change something about their appearance and what's on the table. When the person returns, they should try to identify the changes.
Reflection & Drinks: Towards the end of the meetup, we can all share our experiences, insights and suggestions for new games while having drinks.
Join us for an enjoyable evening of light conversation, personal growth, new friendships and fun!
