ProductTank AMS - Service Design

Details
Hi all,
It's time for another ProductTank. This edition will be all about service design (http://liveworkstudio.com/themes/service-design/). Most of us are familiar with designing online products, but perhaps not so much used to thinking about (multi-touchpoint) services, and the design thereof. This evening we will learn all about service design, (http://www.service-design-network.org/intro/) which is a potentially powerful new perspective for us online product people.
There will be three speakers:
Onno van der Veen
Onno is an experienced service design consultant and founding partner at Ideate. After a career in product design, Onno switched to designing services in 2010, creating a number of successful services in e.g. energy, mobility and care, with a special focus on design for behaviour change. Onno is also lecturer in service design at Nyenrode and Eurib.
In his talk Onno will show why service design is not the next fad, but is here to stay. He will discuss how to design on- and off-line services in concordance.

Livework Studio
Livework (http://liveworkstudio.com/) is a service design (http://liveworkstudio.com/themes/service-design/) company based in London, Oslo, Sao Paulo and Rotterdam. About Livework:
"When we founded Livework 12 years ago, we were the first service design company in the world. In the time since then, we are proud to have worked on over 400 projects with both global leaders and exciting start-ups. We have been at the forefront of taking service design into a wide range of industries, from public healthcare to manufacturing.
We have also contributed to the establishment of the new global Service Design Network and service design courses in leading schools."
Livework will come show us a case they did for one of their clients.
Bjørn van Raaij
Bjørn is both an independent service designer and product manager/owner. With his Rotterdam based studio Zeewaardig (http://www.zeewaardig.com) he helps organizations create and improve their services and realize and implement the (new) digital touchpoints. Bjørn’s approach to service design is not to be an advocate of just the customer: the employee’s perspective is equally important to create a great service experience.
Bjørn will share with us his view on the (underestimated) complexity of the role of product owner and how and why service design provides a valuable skillset and toolkit in this role. If time permits he will present a case that shows how service design has helped the productmanagement role.

The meetup will be hosted and sponsored by Werkspot.nl (http://www.werkspot.nl/)
(Note that space is limited, so there will be limit to the RSVP list)
See you there!
Iris
