Curious about Dungeons & Dragons but never played before? This special Learn to Play evening at OBA Next Lab Sluisbuurt is designed especially for complete beginners who want to discover what the world’s most famous tabletop roleplaying game is all about.
Dungeons & Dragons is a form of collaborative storytelling — a unique mix between acting, conversation, improvisation and a strategic tabletop game. Together with other players, you create a story, make choices as your character, roll dice to see what happens, and explore a shared fantasy adventure guided by a Dungeon Master. No experience, materials, or preparation needed.
We’ll start with a short, clear introduction explaining what D&D is and how it works, and then jump straight into playing. Pre-generated characters will be ready so you can sit down and start your adventure immediately. The focus of this evening is learning by doing — relaxed, welcoming, and beginner-friendly.
Experienced players are also warmly invited to join, play, and help support new adventurers at the table.
