Shame – and how it drives our behaviour
Details
👋 This session is for men only. Some events are open to everyone - those will be clearly marked.
--
Shame is one of the most common emotions men carry, and one of the least talked about. This session is specifically about how shame drives our behaviour, often without us realising it.
🗣️ What we talk about:
- The patterns shame creates. Overachieving, aggression, withdrawal, people pleasing, perfectionism, using humour to deflect.
- Moments where shame was driving us without us realising it at the time.
- What shame feels like in the body just before we react.
- Being called out on a pattern by someone else, and how that landed.
- What changes once we recognise the pattern.
⏰ Time and details
We will start at 10:30 am. We'll meet at the mezzanine level. Please look for a paper with "PACED" written on it. And please be there a few minutes early so you can grab a coffee if you want, and we can start on time.
