Our next meetup is near ... very near! Next week we'll have Pim Elshoff again on stage. If you have ever built a form that somehow ended up with 17 side effects and a personality of its own, this talk is for you. To make it even greater, we'll be at a new location: Summa.

The lecture
Some developers use Filament, while others choose wrong and pick Inertia.

This is not a deep dive into either tool, and it is definitely not a comparison matrix. Instead, this session is about a broader question: how do you build usable software as a backend engineer?

We’ll start before the framework choice, with the tools we use to understand a problem, shape a solution, and design software around the jobs users actually need to get done. From there, we’ll look at how different UI choices can help, confuse, or completely betray those jobs. Only then do we come back to Filament and Inertia, not to pick a winner, but to ask a better question: what kind of use does each one naturally encourage?

If you have ever built a form that somehow ended up with 17 side effects and a personality of its own, this talk is for you.

About the location
We are proud to be hosted by a new sponsor. Summa Eindhoven is a leading mbo education institute in Eindhoven and the wider Brainport area. To supply the best for their students they decided to team up with us.
What is a better way to get software companies, development people and possible internships so close by? From now on there is no excuse for software development students to not attend the interesting meetup we are.

The location will be Sterrenlaan 4 in Eindhoven. Free parking places are around the building. The entrance for the parking location is at the Mercuriuslaan, opposite Petcare Dierenartsen which is about 100 meter from the Sterrenlaan junction.
For public transport users, the following bus lines are suitable: 4 (Sterrenlaan), 323 & 404 (Mercuriuslaan).
We will be on the 6th level in rooms 6.08 & 6.10.

Everybody is encouraged to attend about an hour prior to the lecture, so we can have a chat while enjoying our food.
