**Building with AI is getting easier. Knowing whether it works reliably is a different challenge.**
How do you test an AI application when the same prompt can produce different answers? How do you evaluate accuracy, spot hallucinations and check whether an AI agent is doing what it should?
Join **AI Learners Club** and **Paul Maxwell-Walters, QA Engineer and Consultant**, for a practical webinar exploring **generative AI testing, LLM evaluation and quality assurance for AI applications and agents**.
Using real-world examples and a live demonstration, Paul will explain what makes testing AI different from traditional software testing and how teams can approach it.

**What we’ll cover**

* **Generative AI testing:** The challenges of testing large language models (LLMs) and software built around them.
* **AI reliability:** Assessing hallucinations, bias, inappropriate responses and inconsistent outputs.
* **Practical testing techniques:** Using constrained responses and structured outputs to make automated testing easier.
* **LLM evaluations and benchmarks:** Understanding human evaluation, rule-based checks and LLM-as-a-judge approaches.
* **Testing AI agents:** Why multi-step workflows, tool use and changing outcomes need a different evaluation approach.
* **Guardrails and monitoring:** How safeguards, logs and traces support AI quality.
* **Real-world examples and a live demo**, followed by Q&A.

**Who should attend?**
Software testers, QA engineers, developers, AI builders, product managers and anyone moving from an AI prototype towards a more reliable application.
Some familiarity with generative AI will help you get more from the session.

**About the speaker**

Novotel Darling Harbour

**AI Governance in Australia: Are You Ready for the December 2026 Changes?**

From 10 December 2026, new automated decision-making (ADM) transparency requirements under Australia's privacy legislation will take effect, introducing additional privacy policy disclosure obligations for organisations where the statutory conditions apply.

As businesses increasingly adopt artificial intelligence, AI-powered recruitment tools, automated workflows and algorithmic decision-making systems, understanding how these technologies influence decisions about individuals is becoming increasingly important.

But how can organisations move beyond AI governance policies and build practical, accountable processes?

Join AI Learners Club for a practical webinar presented by Max Zhang, exploring AI governance, automated decision-making transparency, responsible AI adoption and governance principles informed by ISO/IEC 42001.

This session moves beyond theory to demonstrate how business analysis and structured governance processes can help organisations identify automated decisions, assess their implications, assign responsibilities and maintain reliable documentation.

**WHAT YOU'LL LEARN**
During this webinar, we'll explore:

1. Australia's December 2026 Privacy Changes: Understand the upcoming automated decision-making transparency requirements and why they matter for relevant Australian organisations.
2. AI Governance and ISO/IEC 42001: Discover how international AI management system principles can inform practical governance processes.
3. Identifying Automated Decision-Making: Learn how to discover decisions influenced by software, algorithms and AI within existing business operations.
4. AI Risk Assessment and Accountability: Understand how to distinguish legal applicability questions from operational risks and assign clear responsibilities.
5. Transparency, Disclosure and Documentation: Explore how organisations can collect evidence to support accurate privacy policy disclosures.
6. Practical AI Governance Framework: Learn a five-stage approach: Map, Assess, Assign, Disclose and Monitor.

**A REAL-WORLD BUSINESS SCENARIO**
Using a fictional AI-assisted recruitment screening scenario, Max will demonstrate how organisations can examine important questions:

* Did an automated system influence whether a candidate received an interview?
* What personal information was used?
* What decisions were made by software, and what did a human actually review?
* Who is responsible for explaining the decision?
* What evidence should the organisation maintain?

Discover how these questions can be translated into practical governance activities rather than remaining abstract compliance concerns.

**WHO SHOULD ATTEND?**
This webinar is particularly relevant for:

* Business owners, executives and organisational leaders
* AI practitioners, developers and technology professionals
* Business analysts, project managers and transformation teams
* Risk, governance, privacy and compliance professionals
* HR professionals using AI-assisted recruitment systems
* Consultants supporting digital transformation and responsible AI adoption
* Anyone interested in Australian AI regulation, AI transparency and ethical AI implementation

No advanced technical knowledge is required. Whether you're beginning to explore AI governance or already implementing AI-powered solutions, this session offers practical insights into managing automated decision-making responsibly.
