Sebastian Zeeff: Don’t Panic! A developer’s guide to security
You play a crucial role in the security of your projects, but how do you know if what you're doing is enough? Luckily, you don’t have to be a security expert to contribute to the security of your projects. Instead, you can use industry standards as a guide for your approach to security.
In this talk, Sebastiaan will talk about why developers play an important role in security and introduce you to the OWASP DevSecOps Maturity Model, a standard that can help you contribute to security without feeling overwhelmed. He will also talk about what you can do as a developer if the organization around you doesn't act as if security is a priority. By the end, you should know enough to get started with a systematic approach to security.

About Sebastian:
Sebastiaan is a senior software engineer for the Ordina Pythoneers and a Fellow of the Python Software Foundation. He has a passion for teaching Python and writing clean code. Sebastiaan is also active in the Python community, as the Financial Aid lead for EuroPython, open-source contributor, Python educator, and founder of Python Discord. As a public speaker, Sebastiaan makes frequent appearances at Python conferences, including PyCon US, EuroPython, PyCon APAC, FOSDEM, and various regional PyCons.

Luuk van der Velden: Secure MLOps with MLFlow simplifying integration tests at NS
Cloud security teams want us to duplicate our resources across subscriptions and environments for security and privacy reasons. Datascience applications struggle to be tested in the absence of real world production data. At NS we performed integration tests on non-production data, but this broke down often and it was costly to maintain two separate data lakes (staging, production). Here I present our open source MLFlow client that allowed us to reduce the complexity of our test setup and reduce maintenance costs.

About Luuk:
Luuk obtained his PhD in Neuroscience at the UvA, where he measured synchrony within biological neuronal networks in the midbrain. He switched to Python engineering working at a.o Ahold Delhaize. He combined his experiences setting up AI teams at de Volksbank and Nederlandse Spoorwegen building AI platforms, setting MLOps best practices and creating AI products for millions of customers. Currently, Luuk is a Azure Solution Architect at Ahold Delhaize.

Fun fact:
Besides engineering Luuk is also a drummer in the progressive metal band Hologram Earth, who just finished mastering their sophomore album.
