Novice Level Nordic Ski @ Wildwood (Saskatoon)

This is an event for novice skiers (skied 3+ times). For people who have never skied before, I can spend 5-10 minutes to give a few tips.

We're beginning a new year, so the annual fee is due once again for anyone who hasn't paid for 2026: $10, e-transferred to eneudorf@hotmail.com.

Arrive at 11am, we begin skiing at 11:15. We'll do a warmup lap on the periphery of Wildwood, approx. 3 kms, then a lap on the interior of the golf course, approx. 6 kms, totalling near 9 kms.

If track conditions are poor or better elsewhere we may switch location, so keep your eyes on the website for updates.

Wildwood Golf course offers skiers groomed nordic (cross-country) ski trails. The course provides a good balance of relatively flat, slighty rolling and more hilly terrain. The 2.5 km perimter loop is relatively flat and is set for classic style skiing. The 6 km inside loop winds creatively thru the rest of the area and offers good opportunities for cornering, climbing and descending. It is groomed for both classic and skate style skiing. Parking and access to the trails is available at the Golf Clubhouse just east of McKercher Drive on 8th street.

Bring something to drink to keep you hyrdrated, and maybe a small snack to keep you energized.

If you do not own skis: rent from Eb's Adventures or Escape Sports. Make sure you reserve in a timely manner.
