Sensemakers Newsletter

From: Manon
Sent on: maandag 4 november 2019 10:45

Hi all,

A little bit late this October😊 newsletter, but we had so much going on! Next to our meetups we had a group of Sensemakers participating in the Sensorthings hackathon, while another group sailed across the Amstel to collect watersamples for the drinkablerivers.org project! We had lots of fun!

In this newsletter many events and a discount code for The Things Conference and ThingsCon, our favourites! This Wednesday you can work on your own projects, but we will also continue working on the Astroplant project, even as a beginner you can still join! On our wiki you can find backgroundinfo and instructions, those who joint from the beginning will start with block 3 this week (see menu on the left in the wiki).  Related to the astroplant and our weatherstation beginners set we also have a workshop to teach you the basics of micropython. It is too late to order a board but you’re still welcome to take a look! Just don’t forget to pre install the software on your laptop!
Next to these handson sessions we have some interesting speakers lined up for you at our regular meetups like Tracking & monitoring sealbehavior and Stratumseind, the nightlife area in Eindhoven where a lot of sensors are deployed for safety & livability!
