SF Data Science brings data scientists and others together to get to know one another, discuss their work and collaborate on volunteer projects serving the humanitarian and nonprofit communities.
The meetup group was previously organized by Galvanize. It is currently being run by the Humanitarian AI meetup community and SF Creative Coders. If you are interested in hearing about and working on some cool projects or just want to meet amazing people with similar interests then come join us!

Project NANDA, which originated at MIT, is a collective initiative that is building a foundational layer for the Internet of AI Agents. Join Prof. Ramesh Raskar, MIT and the rest of the MIT team behind project NANDA for an interactive discussion covering the project and its development, and ways of getting involved.
Open protocols like the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A) are enabling AI agents to interoperate seamlessly, making it easier for developers and enterprises to build powerful, agent-driven applications. These possibilities have sparked a new wave of excitement around the agentic web, setting the stage for rapid innovation and collaboration. Project NANDA is building a foundational layer for the Internet of AI Agents that goes way beyond MCP and A2A by adding discoverability, trust, and reputation.
This discussion will be informative for individuals interested in joining other researchers, developers, founders and investors contributing to the development of project NANDA. It will also be informative for individuals from the nonprofit and humanitarian communities interested in applications of agentic AI for good (Humanitarian AI Today podcast interview on project NANDA).
