 Striving for ultimate Low Latency

Details

Hi all!

Next Thursday Flow Traders is organizing another Meetup. Watch out, it's short notice. Mateusz Pusz will be here again to give a different talk and you are invited! Not so long ago in November, his talk was really great, so looking forward to another :)

== Topic ==

This talk will present the C++ world seen from the Low Latency domain. The world where no dynamic allocations are welcomed, C++ exceptions are nearly not used, where STL containers are often not enough, and where developers often need to go deep down to assembly level to verify if the code really does its best.

== About the speaker ==

Mateusz Pusz's (copied from his CppCon 2019 bio)

Software architect, chief developer, and security champion with more than 14 years of experience in designing, writing and maintaining C++ code for fun and living. C++ consultant, trainer, and evangelist focused on Modern C++. His main areas of interest and expertise are code performance, low latency, stability, and security.

Mateusz worked at Intel for 13 years and now he leads C++ Community at EPAM Systems. He is also a founder of Train IT that provides C++ trainings to corporations. Mateusz is an active voting member of the ISO C++ Committee (WG21) where, together with the best C++ experts in the world, he shapes the next official version of the C++ language. He is also a member of WG21 Study Group 14 (SG14) responsible for driving performance and low latency subjects in the Committee. In 2013 Mateusz won “Bench Games 2013” – worldwide competition in the C++ language knowledge.

== Schedule ==

A rough outline of the schedule, details may change...

07:00 PM – Socializing with food and drinks
07:50 PM – Intro

The address is Jacob Bontiusplaats 9, Amsterdam

Here is a google maps link for navigation: https://goo.gl/maps/YQ3e4zqLrB42

Parking opportunities are limited this time, huge constructions are going on.

It's quite a large terrain, therefore, it may be helpful to check google maps before you go, the entrance is near the smaller "Amsterdam Roest" building.

[This time I've learned from the past and disabled +1's, they would be convenient for some people, but security needs to have a list of names for the guest list.]
