Meet fellow photo enthusiasts near you! Come to a Photography Meetup to talk about the latest gear, swap tips and techniques, share your images and stories -- and have fun doing it!
This group is open to all - from beginner, amateur and of course to the more professional digital and film photographers. Only a handful of members are semi-pro, most are keen hobbyists and amateurs who just enjoy learning and practicing.
Be sure to set your e-mail notifications settings to not miss and event announcements or updates.
This is an active group with lots of opportunities for picture taking and fun exchanges with fellow photographers at all levels.
We ask members to contribute $5/year to cover the costs of site hosting and administering the group. The individual events are either free or have a fee to share the event expenses (such a room rentals, speakers, special talent...). You can find the membership dues page at:

Our focus is general - landscapes, public events, nature, architecture, animals, macro, travel ... Just about anything but people.
If your interests encompass people, then also check out the Ottawa Model Photography Special Interest Group. This "People" interest is handled with professional models who pose for portraits, boudoir, pin- up, glamour, fashion, art nudes, creative themes, cosplay...

We're excited to announce that, following the success of the last event, Katelynn Bourbonnais and I will be hosting a second Fruit-Themed Group Photoshoot on August 16th.

Wanna shoot horses, pets, lamas and a host of other animals, and make a difference as you do.
Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary provides lifelong refuge to animals who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment, offering them compassionate care and the freedom to live safely and peacefully. The sanctuary also serves as a place of connection and restoration for people--especially those experiencing stress, grief, or isolation-who find comfort and purpose in the presence of resilient animals. We promote empathy and well-being through humane education, volunteer opportunities, and community programs that foster meaningful human-animal relationships for the benefit of both.
They have opened to door to us so se can help their cause doing what we do best, creating images they can use to promote their mission.

Come join us for a magical experience of the Witches of the Wild.
We will be utilizing the natural settings and elements within the old Apple orchard on the back part of my property. Incorporating smoke bombs, candles, animal bones, tarot cards, lights for moody effects, unique accessories to create that ethereal feeling of a dark enchanted meetup sure to impress your inner darkness

The RA Photo Club is holding an open house on September, 16th at the RA Center on Riverside Drive.
From 7.00 to 9:00 pm the Club Members will welcome the Public to learn about the special interest groups in the club and participate in model shoots. Special interest groups such as Nature, Urban, Fine Art will explain what outings and other special events they will hold during the new season.
The Program group will tell you about the speakers, showcases, and presentations to be made this season. There will be a print and audio visual show and a display of photo books, produced by club members.
The Life, Faces, and Figures and the Studio Group will have a few models you’ll be able to photograph at no cost.
Come and visit us during the open house.
If past year's Open House events are any indication this is going to be another fantastic evening at the RA Centre.
