Trivia: 54 Restaurant, Springfield, VA - all levels welcome
Trivia: 54 Restaurant, Springfield, VA - all levels welcome
We will be participating in a trivia night event at 54 restaurant located at the Springfield Town Center mall on Monday. Trivia starts at 7 pm. Parking: There is free mall parking. There is also paid valet parking if you are feeling bougie. There's a maximum of 7 people per team, so please show up by 6:45 pm so that we organize accordingly. We may field multiple teams depending on turnout. Please plan on arriving and staying for the entire trivia event. To ensure you get a spot on a trivia team: * Please arrive by 6:45 PM, or notify the hosts that you are running late by 6:45 PM. If you arrive after 6:45 or don't notify the hosts, you are not guaranteed a spot on a trivia team and may need to form your own, separate team. * Please RSVP so we know to expect you. Don't be like Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn from Wedding Crashers and crash a trivia event (i.e., don't show up without signing up on the attendee list). \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- If you have Instagram, you can check out our account at asiandiningandadventuregroup for photos and announcements of group outings!

Monday Morning Courthouse Run/Walk - 40 Min
On Monday, we'll meet in front of the Courthouse Library, 2100 Clarendon Blvd, and head towards the Arlington Cemetery and Memorial Bridge. If it's cold, take cover inside the foyer area of 2100 Clarendon Blvd. Routes: We'll run 20 minutes out and then turn around and run 20 minutes back to Courthouse. Everyone runs at his/her own pace, so the distance will depend on your speed. 1. Courthouse Library > N Rhodes St. Bridge > Arlington Blvd > N Meade St. > Iwo Jima/Marine Corps Mem > Arlington Cemetery > Memorial Bridge. Depending on your preferred pace, you may turn around at any point on the route. Pace: All paces are welcome! We'll be doing an out and back route, so everyone will turn around at the halfway time marker. That way we should all start and end at the same time. Free Parking at Courthouse Plaza: The underground garage is on Clarendon Blvd btwn Wayne and Veitch Sts. (near Strayer/CVS and the AMC Theater). If the first 2 levels on the left are full, you can park on the lower levels to the right. Street and Surface Parking lots should be free in the area as well. LIVESTREAM | The Founder’s Playbook: A Live Strategy Session With Joel McDonald
LIVESTREAM | The Founder’s Playbook: A Live Strategy Session With Joel McDonald
Click here to attend: [https://www.jgoot.com/livestreams](https://www.jgoot.com/livestreams) There’s a big difference between knowing travel tricks… and thinking strategically. A lot of travelers spend their time chasing: • the next card • the next bonus • the next redemption • the next “hack” But the travelers who consistently get the best results? They think differently. They make better decisions. They understand leverage. They know what actually matters… and what doesn’t. And often, the biggest breakthroughs don’t come from learning something new. They come from finally understanding the game itself. That’s what makes sessions with JGOOT Founder Joel McDonald different. Because this isn’t just about points. It’s not just about cards. It’s not just about travel. It’s about the mindset, strategy, and decision-making process behind building a life where extraordinary travel becomes normal. In this special live strategy session, Joel will be diving into the ideas, perspectives, and playbook principles that continue to shape the way smart travelers approach points, travel, and opportunity. It’s time for: **The Founder’s Playbook: A Live Strategy Session with Joel McDonald** Inside this session, Joel will cover: • The strategic shifts changing the way smart travelers approach points and travel • Common mistakes that quietly cost people opportunities, flexibility, and value • How experienced travelers think differently from beginners • The difference between collecting points… and building a real travel strategy • Why simplicity often outperforms complexity in the long run • The mindset and habits that lead to more consistent travel success This isn’t about chasing hype. It isn’t about finding one magic trick. It’s about learning how to think strategically in a world full of noise, distractions, and endless “travel hacks.” And when you understand the playbook behind the playbook… you stop reacting to opportunities randomly… and start creating them intentionally. COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
