Es una fiesta tradicional que marca la llegada de la primavera y tiene sus orígenes en el siglo XVI, cuando en Zúrich se cambiaba el horario de trabajo y las campanas sonaban a las 6 de la tarde para indicar el inicio de la jornada de verano. Con el tiempo, esta tradición se combinó con antiguos rituales populares en los que se quemaban figuras (los “Böögg”) para despedir el invierno. 🔥 Hoy en día, el Böögg —un muñeco en forma de muñeco de nieve lleno de fuegos artificiales— se quema como símbolo del fin del invierno.
