After Johanne has essentially written a novel about her feelings and experiences with her French teacher, she decides to let her grandmother read it, desperate for someone to know about it. Her grandmother is so impressed with the literary qualities of the book that she wants to get it published, being a poet herself. She shows the book to Johanne’s mother, but instead of being impressed like her grandmother, she is concerned with whether the graphically described scenes between Johanne and her teacher actually took place or not. Both groups share a lot of common ground — we're all building mobile apps, often with the same tools, and powered by Google technologies.
