Once, not so long ago, Italian nonnas would gather in the kitchen, hands deep in flour, gossiping about the neighbor’s son, complaining about “young people these days,” and debating whose focaccia was fluffier. It was loud, messy, and absolutely perfect.

Now? Everyone’s busy, nobody talks, and the closest thing to community is accidentally making eye contact with someone at the supermarket. Social life feels like a to-do list, conversations feel like job interviews and we pass evenings doom-scrolling while our plants die of neglect.

Time to fix that.

In this edition of Pasta Making & Chit Chat we're going to learn how to make the traditional orecchiette baresi (from Bari, Puglia, the region I come from).

Imagine up to 8 people in circle around a table making orecchiette, chatting, laughing and making everything dirty with flour.

Everybody will make their "portion" of orecchiette and after that we can cook them and eat them together, or you can bring them home if you don't have time to stay for the dinner.

No need to bring anything, I'll take care of all the ingredients.
