The Smashing Expats training & games

Hi everyone 🏐
We are happy to welcome you to another Smashing Expats training session. This session focuses on a new defensive–offensive transition technique, combined with team communication and collective adaptation during chaotic rally situations.
The technical emphasis will be on emergency setting and out-of-system attacking, a common game situation where structure breaks down and fast decisions are required.
In real play, not every pass is perfect. We will train how players execute a controlled emergency set, how attackers adjust their approach and shot selection, and how the team communicates clearly to reorganize the offense under pressure. The focus is on staying calm, making roles explicit, and keeping the rally alive.

Location: Putseplein 20, Rotterdam (5-minute walk from metro station Maashaven)
Maximum players: 26 participants

Arrive, change, and help set up the court
20-minute warm-up
45 minutes of focused training on:
• Emergency setting and out-of-system attack technique
• On-court communication and role adaptation in broken plays
Games until 21:55
Stretching, cool-down, and tidy up together
💡 Practical Info
Please sign up via this Meetup event or let Eleonora (XR2), Hazem (XR3), or Katarzyna (non-NeVoBo members) know directly if you are joining.
A €5 contribution applies for non-NeVoBo members.
Payment must be completed at least 2 days before the event (deadline: Sunday, 01 March 2026).

Only clean indoor shoes are allowed.
After training, everyone is welcome to join for a non-alcoholic drink or a small snack at a place close to the gym, next to metro station Maashaven. A relaxed moment to cool down, chat, and connect off the court.
