Hi everyone,

Among other things, we decided to keep at first the meetings once a month. In this way, we can give time to sink in the ideas discussed in the previous meeting and also to prepare for the next meeting

Here is the plan for our next meeting:

We will start with the individual, since the individual is the basic unity of analysis of social dynamics.

Pertinent questions among others is to what extent is the individual a well defined unity.

For that point I suggest the first chapter of the Theory of the Leisure class (by Thorstein Veblen that can be found at

Secondly, we consider the individual in the consumerist society.

How advertising shapes our collective behaviour?

What should we care about when consuming products?
