Want to volunteer in your community and make some great friends along the way? Whether you are new to the city or just want to expand your network, this is the group for you!
We Serve Austin is designed for busy Austin-area folks in their 20s and 30s who: a) want to meet other friends who share their passion for volunteering; b) go out and perform a variety of community service projects in the Austin area; and c) get together to socialize both after projects and occasionally during the month.
We try to keep a good balance between recurring and one-time projects, usually on weeknights or weekends outside of regular work schedules. And save some time after each event - we tend to go out for food and drinks afterwards

Festival Beach Food Forest Workday
Festival Beach Food Forest, 25 Waller St, Austin, TX, USWe'll be joining the Festival Beach Food Forest for their Second Saturday Workday!
What to expect:
Volunteer days at FBFF involve various gardening and site maintenance activities that vary by season. Sometimes we are planting and sowing seeds, sometimes we are spreading mulch, working on pathways and irrigation, pruning or cutting back vegetation, etc. It's always a beautiful day and a learning opportunity. Where to find us:
Festival Beach Food Forest is next to the fenced Community Garden, but it’s a separate space. Look for the open parkland with no gates. We'll gather in the pecan circle (center of Phase 1) to sign in and get started!What to bring:
- Wear work clothes and sturdy closed-toe shoes
- full water bottle
- [optional] your own gardening gloves and tools
- whatever weather protection is needed that day (sun protection, a rain jacket, etc.)
- whatever else you need to be safe and satisfied (snacks, medication, EpiPen, etc)9 deelnemers
