👨🏼‍🏫 Niels Pilon - Advanced Custom Fields

Bio:

👨🏻‍💻Niels de Blaauw - You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs

Bio:
As lead developer for Level Level (https://level-level.com/) my function requires me to translate customer and user wishes to good experiences. By staying on top of new developments in our branch I create efficient websites with interesting integrations.

I like cycling and watching tv-series. In the winter at the same time, with Netflix on a hometrainer. With better weather the evening starts with cycling and ends with a movie or a video game. In the weekends you can find me in the park with friends and a barbecue.

Talk:
'You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs'. Things are inevitably going to break. And that's stressful. If your triaging process involves manually seeking through log files or you only find out something is broken after a customer calls you, you’re probably not fixing problems efficiently.

In this talk we are going to prevent, proactively detect and quickly react to issues. I’ll provide practical examples that help with testing and preventing issues. We’ll implement a logging framework that will actively alert you and help find out what’s going wrong. Finally we’ll add some metrics to our site that can help predict future issues.

📢
After the talks, we have some time for announcements:
Are you organising an event? Looking for a job? Do you have a job opening? The stage will be yours for a minute!

🍷🍻🥛
We close the evening with an informal drink and finish around 10 PM
