Every other week, there is a free lunch concert at The Thomas. Classical music, each time by a different ensemble or musician. On May 13 the Veldtbergen Trio will perform:

Carl Reinecke (1824 - 1910) Trio, opus 274 II Ein Märchen: Andante / IV Finale: Allegro
Johann Sobeck (1831 - 1914) Duo Concertant (for clarinet, horn and piano op. 5) Variations on themes from Mozart's Don Giovanni

Beautiful, virtuosic and romantic music with a narrative character by the Veldtbergen Trio. The Veldtbergen Trio consists of Henk Veldt (horn), Nicole van Jaarsveld (clarinet) and Angélique Heemsbergen (piano). The combination of horn, clarinet and piano gives a pleasant combination of warm sounds and versatility that the trio enjoys. In this special line-up, they play beautiful, virtuosic and romantic music with a narrative character. Because of the different backgrounds of the individual musicians, each has brought their own input to the ensemble, resulting in a surprising whole.
During this concert, musical stories are told in the romantic Märchen and sparkling Finale from Reinecke's Trio. The program ends with recognizable themes in the Duo Concertant, variations on themes from Mozart's Don Juan by Johann Sobeck; a virtuoso spectacle!

You are welcome from 12:15. The concert starts at 12:30 and lasts half an hour. A ticket is not necessary, you can walk in for free.
