It is warming up, so it's time for our first event of the kayaking season. If you join, you will learn the basics of flatwater kayaking!
Some of the things you will learn are:

  • What sets flatwater kayaking apart from other paddle sports (boats/paddles used, technique et cetera).
  • How to hold a paddle.
  • Basic paddle technique.
  • How to balance a kayak.
  • What to do if you fall into the water.

Note that flatwater kayaks are tippier than rental kayaks. We will thus stay close to the club and do balance and other exercises. In other words, this event is NOT an excursion in the forest.
To participate, it is important that you are able to swim! Please bring a dry set of clothes (you may need it) and a towel.

In case of really bad weather, we will organise an indoor training session in our gym.

This is event is offered for free, but a voluntary contribution is appreciated.
