Looking to brush up on your language skills while having a blast? Then join us for our biweekly Language Exchange Meetup. This is not just any language practice—it's a fun-filled evening where you can sip on delicious drinks, munch on tasty snacks, and make new friends from around the world!

Learn or improve a foreign language in conversation with native speakers and pay them back by speaking your mother tongue with them. 😉

💬 What's in Store:

• Casual conversations in multiple languages
• An opportunity to meet people from diverse cultures
• A chance to practice your speaking skills in a laid-back setting
• At the entrance of the cafe, you will get a sticker where you can write your name, the language(s) you speak, and the language(s) you want to practice. English and Dutch are certainly the most practiced languages. However, our members come from all over the world, so depending on the evening, you might be able to find someone to practice your Japanese, Italian, Ukrainian, and more! 🙂

Join us for Expat Life Beyond the 40's" a brand-new event designed exclusively for our community members who are in their 40s and beyond. This unique gathering was created in response to the requests of our valued members.

At AIC, our mingling events typically see a majority of participants between the ages of 25 and 40. However, we recognize that there's a vibrant and diverse community of expats who fall into the Generation X and early millennial age groups. To provide an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere for this demographic, we've launched a monthly event tailored to their preferences.

Connect with like-minded individuals who share your background and interests, as you sip on a nice drink and explore the rich tapestry of expat life beyond the 40s. Whether you're looking to forge new friendships or simply unwind after a long day, this event promises to be a delightful evening of socializing and new connections.

We know the struggle: being an expat parent can feel a bit isolating. That’s why we’re launching the second edition of this event to bring our international families together in a space that’s fun for the kids and relaxing for the parents.

“AIC Kids & Parents: The Social Playdate @ Moxy” A private afternoon on the 9th floor with stunning views, treats, and real connections.

🎡 What’s the vibe?
We’ve reserved the entire 9th floor at the Moxy Houthavens just for us. It’s a secure, private space where you can let the kids be kids while you finally have that uninterrupted adult conversation.

Here’s what’s in it for the whole family:

- For the Kids: A dedicated play zone with a Popcorn machine, Cotton Candy, Jenga, and even a TV with Dutch cartoons to help them pick up the local lingo! 🍿🍭
- For the Parents: A private bar right next to the play area. Grab a coffee or a cocktail, enjoy the view, and meet other expats who actually "get it." 🍹🏙️
- Safe & Easy: The space is enclosed, so you can keep an eye on them while you socialize.
- Bring the Favorites: Feel free to bring along your child's favorite board game or toy to share and play with new friends!
- 🧸 Is there an age limit? Since this is a pilot event, we are open to all international families! As a guideline, the activities and space are ideal for children between 2 and 10 years old. Our AIC host will be there with their own daughters (aged 3 and 5), so your little ones will definitely have someone to play with!
