Then this small, personal weekly meetup (with max. 3 participants) with local expert Emma might be exactly what you’re looking for.

What you’ll get out of it
This session is like a crash course in feeling more at home in Amsterdam, filled with local insights.

I tell you everything about:

• Today’s culture, trends, and subcultures
• The vibe and unwritten rules of different neighborhoods
• Amsterdam’s history (short and relevant)
• Practical tips for daily life (places, events, media, and more), tailored to you individual interests
• A bit of Dutch, if you’d like 😉
• Whatever questions you bring

You don’t need to prepare anything, just curiosity.

I’m Emma Slot, MSc, an Amsterdam local with a love for the city’s stories, places, and evolving culture. I enjoy sharing insights, and doing this for international newcomers feels genuinely meaningful to me, it helps reduce loneliness, builds bridges between locals and internationals, and makes the city feel more human.
