Assertive is a hardcore producer/DJ from Canada, currently residing in Tokyo.
He has released original tracks on several compilation albums such as MEGAREX’s Techcore Evangelix series, and also often makes hardcore remixes of anime and Japanese music, with a focus on uplifting emotional melodies. His remixes have been frequently played by DJs around the world and supported by the original artists, such as his hardcore bootlegs of Porter Robinson’s “Everything Goes On” and “Shelter”, as well as his remix of Moe Shop’s “Tokyo Bug Night” from Denonbu.
Assertive is no stranger to DJing — he has headlined alongside massive EDM acts in the US such as Tokyo Machine, Slushii, and DJ Diesel (Shaq). In Japan, he has also headlined with legends such as YUC’e, kz, KOTONOHOUSE, DJ Noriken and DJ Shimamura at various clubs across the country.
