For the next chapter of Tell Me Wine, we travel to one of the most iconic wine regions in France: the Rhône Valley.

But this time, we won’t focus on the big historical names everyone already knows.

Instead, we’ll explore one of the most exciting new voices of contemporary French winemaking: Simon Gastrein.

This is where things get interesting.

Working in the Northern Rhône, in Hameau Touche Boeuf, Simon represents a new generation bringing a fresh and precise approach to a deeply classical region. His work on Syrah and Viognier is all about tension, depth, precision and identity — wines that feel alive, sharp, and incredibly expressive.

We’ll taste 12 wines, exploring the full range of his production:
from the extraordinary flagship wines inside the appellation — including what many consider one of the most exciting Saint-Joseph currently available, and an extraordinary white wine from the Northern Rhône produced in tiny quantities — to the more playful and dangerously drinkable wines of Maison Troupeau, his parallel project focused on freshness, drinkability and pure pleasure.

As always, this is not just a tasting, but a guided journey through territory, philosophy, viticulture and style.

🥖 And of course, the wines will be paired with carefully selected regional snacks, because wine always tells a bigger story when food joins the conversation.

🍷 12 wines
💶 Price: €40
👥 Only 12 spots available

As always, spots are extremely limited and tend to fill up very quickly.

👉 To participate, please RSVP first on Meetup.

After your RSVP, I will send you the payment link privately (this can take a little time since I do it manually, so please be patient 🙂).

Your place is confirmed only once the payment is completed.

Since availability is limited to just 12 people, it’s very much a first come, first served situation.

This is one of those tastings for people who want to discover where wine is going next — while staying deeply rooted in where it comes from.

See you in the Rhône 🍷
