Rebuilding our legacy CRM piece by piece by Johnny van de Laar:
Our CRM system has been around for quite a while. The first commit in our repo was 11 years ago, but before that the developers didn't use git. The system is built on Zend Framework 1 and PHP 7.1 and we cannot upgrade it. This made us decide to rebuild the system per separate functionality in Symfony 6 and PHP 8.1 while keeping the old system online. I'm going to take you along the journey that we're still making and will explain the decisions that we've made along the way.

Johnny van de Laar is a back-end developer for TreeHouse. For TreeHouse he builds and maintains several in-house systems all for the real-estate market. These systems are built in Symfony / PHP or are being rebuilt in Symfony / PHP. He's been a PHP developer for over 20 years, of which 20 years professionally. He's also the organizer of the BrabantPHP meetups.

The location
You can park on the street at the Slingerweg. After office hours there will be plenty of parking places available.

The office is within walking distance from the train station (15 minutes).
The meetup is being held in the cafeteria of the Blushuis building. You can enter this cafeteria from the main entrance of the Blushuis building.
