Talk 1 - Bias in AI
Explore the 'Anatomy of Bias' through a deep dive into the technical and ethical failures of high-stakes AI, offering a blueprint for moving from algorithmic risk to equitable data governance. This session moves beyond theoretical concerns to examine how self-fulfilling feedback loops and automation can compromise organizational integrity. We will explore how robust data governance and procedural transparency ensure that AI solutions remain both effective and responsible in an increasingly automated world.

About Andreia: Andreia has always been passionate about problem-solving, research, and exchanging ideas and knowledge. As a Principal Analytical Lead at Google, she thrives on transforming complex datasets into strategic insights and actionable recommendations. Witnessing firsthand how data shapes decisions has made her acutely aware of the importance of ethical considerations and fairness in AI and data science. She joined AI4ALL to promote education & support business development, creating and leading the Entrepreneur Program, which has supported Women Founders in AI since 2024.

Talk 2 - Outside the Comfort Zone
In this second talk, Daniela will share insights from her personal journey as a woman in the tech world. She will discuss how to find your drive, build a support system, and take ownership of your role before you have an official title. The talk will explore the importance of lifting others as you climb, offering a practical guide for aspiring leaders in the tech world.

About Daniela: Daniela Martea is an internationally experienced Data & IT Operations Manager, working at Shell, with a proven track record in driving strategic IT transformations, optimizing data operations, and leveraging advanced analytics and AI technologies. She fosters an engineering culture that embraces innovation and collaboration. Proficient at bridging business and technology, Daniela has a strong track record of managing complexity and achieving impactful results in dynamic environments. She has proven success in managing multinational teams with a hands-on approach to coaching and mentoring.

Beyond the Default: Shaping the Future of AI (panel discussion)
Following the talks, join us for an engaging panel discussion with our speakers, Andreia and Daniela, along with Julie Oud, Analytics Translator at Xomnia. The panel will build on the themes of the talks, diving deeper into leadership and bias in AI. Using a series of propositions to spark conversation, we will facilitate an interactive and in-depth discussion with the audience.
