Het volgende DrupalCafé staat weer voor de deur! We hebben deze keer twee presentaties van gastsprekers:
Presentatie 1: DevOps Front-end door Martijn de Wit (Sogeti)
Martijn de Wit komt ons wat vertellen over DevOps in de frontend. Het optimaliseren van het front-end development proces om zo de continue ontwikkelingen in een agile team bij te kunnen benen. Van het bijhouden van een dynamische styleguide, optimaliseren van code en het bij houden van documentatie tot het automatisch testen. In deze presentatie gaat Martijn door middel van een voorbeeld case in op het inrichten van een devops front-end omgeving, om zo het operationele (klant-) team en het development-team dicht bij elkaar te houden, van elkaar te kunnen leren en te anticiperen op continue veranderingen.
Presentatie 2: Paid modules and distros door Taco Potze (Goal Gorilla)
Taco Potze van Goal Gorilla doet zijn presentatie die hij gaf op DrupalCon New Orleans nog eens dunnetjes over. Een controversieel onderwerp: het verkopen van Drupal modules en distributies. GoalGorilla maakte in samenwerking met Yoast een Drupal-versie van de bekende SEO module voor WordPress. In deze presentatie zal Taco ingaan op verschillende aspecten hiervan, zoals waarom Yoast een betaalde module maakte en hoe dit heeft geleid tot een bedrijf van 30 medewerkers, hoe betaalde modules en distributies zullen leiden tot meer geld voor innovatie in Drupal en de bezwaren van betaalde modules voor onze open source community.
Tussen de presentaties door zorgen we weer voor wat hapjes om de ergste honger te stillen. Hopelijk zien we je op 23 juni op het Janskerkhof in Utrecht.

Bereikbaarheid
Ons kantoor bevindt zich op Janskerkhof 16 in Utrecht. Er stoppen diverse buslijnen vanaf het Centraal Station op de halte Janskerkhof; steek het plein over langs de kerk en je vindt nummer 16 rechts naast café Hofman. We hebben ook een uitstekend fietsenrek vlak voor de deur. Ga door de poort de binnenplaats op en bel aan bij de groene deur. Parkeren met de auto kan ook, maar de parkeertarieven op het Janskerkhof zijn de hoogste van Utrecht.

This time we have two talks from guest speakers.
Martijn de Wit will tell us about DevOps in the frontend. Optimizing the front-end development proces in order to keep up with the continuous development in an agile team. From maintaining a dynamic style guide, optimizing code and maintaining documentation to automatic testing. In this presentation, Martijn will use an example case to explain how a frontend devops environment can be set up in order to keep the operational (customer) team and the development team close together, to learn from each other and to anticipate on continuous change.
Taco Potze from Goal Gorilla takes his session from DrupalCon New Orleans into a rerun. A controversial subject: selling Drupal modules and distributions. GoalGorilla developed, in co-operation with Yoast, a Drupal version of the wel known SEO module for WordPress. In this presentation, Taco wil discuss different aspects of this, such as why Yoast made a paid module and how this lead to his 30 persons staff, how paid modules and distros will lead to more money for innovation in Drupal and the downsides of paid modules for our open-source community.
Between the sessions we will again have some food to satisfy our hunger a little bit. Hopefully, we'll see you on june 23rd at the Janskerkhof in Utrecht.

How to get there
Our office is at the Janskerkhof 16 in Utrecht. There are several busses from Utrecht Central Station that stop at the Janskerkhof. From the bus stop, walk across the square past the church and you'll find number 16 to the right of café Hofman. We also have a very excellent "fietsenrek" right in front of the gate. Go through the gate onto the courtyard and ring the bell at the green door. Parking your car is possible, but the parking rates at the Janskerkhof are the highest of Utrecht.
