The last thing Eleanor Roosevelt wanted was to become the First Lady of our nation. Painfully shy and still sorting the tensions in her marriage, Eleanor entered a deep period of soul searching in the days preceding Franklin's inauguration. She found in herself courage, curiosity, and a never-ending wellspring of humor. Becoming, by pluck and risk, one of the most famous female figures of our century. Join national award-winning actress/playwright/storyteller Megan Wells as she brings alive the fire and wisdom of Eleanor.

- Memory Cafe: MusicElmhurst Public Library, Elmhurst, IL
A Memory Cafe is a welcoming place for a shared experience between individuals with Alzheimer's Diseases, dementia, or other cognitive or memory impairment disorders and their caregivers. Each session focuses on a different topic and may include activities, hands-on crafts, games, music, or educational presentations. The goal is to guide participants through exercises that encourage reminiscing and spark memories.
