Workshop: Mapping Domain Knowledge
Details
What we believe about a domain often lives only in our heads: scattered, implicit, and rarely aligned. This workshop makes that knowledge visible and shared. Facilitators Niels and Stefan have run multiple mapping workshops at a large multinational, and will share what they've learned.
Part 1: Theory on Mapping Techniques (~30 mins, starts at 19:00)
A tour of mapping techniques including UML, C4, Wardley Mapping, Story Mapping, and Event Storming: what each is good at, and how mapping removes ambiguity by forcing assumptions into the open.
Part 2: Hands-On Big Picture Event Storming (~45mins)
We'll run a live Big Picture Event Storming session on a shared Miro board. The domain is a surprise, so everyone maps from real knowledge, not prepared answers.
What to bring: a laptop with at least an hour of battery life.
