Alles weergeven- The Secret of Trees – Nature Walk, Followed by Art & Coffee (Paid event)Artroom Mina, Amsterdam
Ever wonder about the trees you pass every day?
🌳🚶🌳🌳🌳🚶🌳🌳🚶🌳🌳🌳🚶🌳
Join Japanese artist Iyamari for a relaxed nature walk from Café Gallery MINA to Vondelpark. Part of the walk will take place inside the park, surrounded by trees and nature right in the city.
Along the way, Iyamari will share simple, surprising stories—small things that might change how you see trees next time you're out walking.
🌳 🌳 🌳\\\\٩( 'ω' )و ////🌳 🌳 🌳
🌱 Did you know Japan has certified tree doctors (樹木医 Jumoku-i) who care for old and important trees?
🌱 What’s the real shape of a tree? It looks hard and solid—but is it really?
🌱 One species of tree in the park was once thought to be extinct—do you know which one?
🌱 And how much DNA do humans and trees actually share? Also, you can talk to Iyamari in Japanese 🇯🇵 if you want!
After the walk, we’ll return to Café Mina for coffee, art, and a friendly chat. Tickets are for the walk & talk experience.
Limited to 10 participants—please book your spot today! 🌳🚶🌳
🎟 Tickets on sale via Eventbrite €10Following the walk, Iyamari will also host a free gallery talk about her exhibition, The Telescore Project, where she creates music from tree prints—combining Japanese nature philosophy with sound and art.

A Summer Drawing Workshop for Everyone
— Even If You Think You “Can’t Draw”!✅ Tickets on sale via Eventbrite ←click to sign up! 🎟
This is not just a drawing workshop — it’s a gentle, joyful exercise for your mind.
Designed especially for those who believe they "can’t draw," this session opens a doorway to a part of your mind that often remains quiet in everyday life. But it’s also ideal for creative individuals seeking a fresh direction — a way to uncover thoughts and ideas that already exist within, waiting to be discovered.
With playful word prompts like “Jumping Triangle” or “Silent Line,” artist Iyamari will guide you to draw in a way that feels natural, spontaneous, and free.
Beginners will feel supported by the words — making it easy to begin without pressure — while experienced artists may find a welcome challenge in letting go of control and responding in new, intuitive ways.
Whether it’s your very first drawing session or a way to refresh your creative practice, this workshop offers the chance to discover something new — not just on the page, but in how you see and experience your daily life.
✨Part of Iyamari’s Telescore exhibition at MINA Gallery, this workshop invites you to reconnect with curiosity, expand your thinking, and celebrate your one-time life.✨
After drawing, we’ll come together in a warm, open circle to share, reflect, and inspire one another.
🖤 Kindly note:
This workshop is colourblind-friendly. All drawing is done in black and white, so colour perception is never a barrier to participation or creative expression.Event Details:
