On the 16th of May it is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, and we will celebrate it by collaborating with MOBGEN with a workshop on Accessible Design!
In this workshop, we aim to give you the knowledge and tools needed to start making your digital products accessible - with the main focus being around mobile applications. By sharing practical examples and tips that can be directly applied in your own projects, you’ll leave this workshop with a new view on accessibility and hopefully the inspiration needed to push for inclusive design within your teams.
Some of the topics covered in the workshop are:
- How devices adapt to accommodate users with impairments
- How to design for Accessibility
- How to user test your UX Writing for VoiceOver
- How to convince your team (boss) to buy into Accessibility
As a courtasy of Mobgen we will arrange dinner for the participants, so no need to worry and arrive on time! :)

Leanne Pickering is a Product Designer with a background in delivering solutions across multiple platforms from ideation to launch, for a number of global clients. Originally from the UK, she’s been calling Amsterdam home for the last few years while forming part of the team at MOBGEN | Accenture Interactive. Leanne’s career has been spent within environments heavily based around user experience and the creation of useful products. This has required her to initiate and maintain design direction to ensure a successful end user experience is always created.

We only have 30 spots available (first come first served) for this workshop. We charge a 20 EUR fee for workshop to help run the community.
