🔥 VUUR & LICHT 2026 — Two Boats. 60 People. One Massive Night

This is not a normal boat trip.

Once a year, hundreds of boats gather on a lake near Amsterdam for Vuur & Licht. Boats are covered in fire, lights and decorations, music is playing across the water, and by nightfall the entire lake turns into one enormous floating party.

And then, at midnight, we watch an absolutely massive fireworks show from directly underneath it, in the middle of the lake. 🎆
I've been organizing this trip for the last four years. Normally we take one boat with around 25 people, and every year we end up with a waiting list.

For our 5th year, we're going BIG.

We'll leave Amsterdam around 16:00–17:00, party while sailing towards the lake, join hundreds of other boats as darkness falls, watch the fireworks at midnight and continue the party on the way home.
We expect to be back in Amsterdam around 03:00.

### ⚠️ PLEASE READ BEFORE JOINING

This is a big, long and intense party.

If you've joined one of our Pride or King's Day boat trips before, expect Vuur & Licht to be significantly more party-focused: louder music, more dancing and a much longer night.

We're leaving Amsterdam and spending the evening in the middle of a lake. Once we're there, getting off the boat early isn't realistically an option.
So please join only if you're excited about committing to the whole adventure. 🔥

### 💰 NON-PROFIT / SHARED COSTS

This is not a commercial event and nobody is making a profit from it.

The boats and organization are provided without charge from my side. We simply divide the actual party expenses between everyone joining.

The shared contribution is €80 per person, which goes towards things such as:

🍻 Drinks
🍴 Food
🧊 Ice
🔊 Sound
💡 Lighting & special effects
🎧 DJ equipment
…and the other costs involved in putting the night together.

### 🎟️ HOW TO JOIN

Because space on the boats is limited, a Meetup RSVP does not automatically confirm your place.
When you sign up, please send me your phone number. I'll contact you personally on WhatsApp with some more details and explain how to get your final confirmation.
Once you've heard from me and completed the confirmation, your place on the boat is secured. 🔥
We're going to spend around 11 hours together on two boats in the middle of a lake, so I'm trying to put together a great group of people for the night. 😁

### 👕 DRESS FOR THE LIGHTS

We'll have a lot of blacklight/UV on the boats, so wear white, fluorescent or UV-reactive colours if you want to glow after dark.

Bring a warm layer as well. We're going to be outside on the water until the middle of the night.

And then there is being surrounded by hundreds of illuminated boats, partying in the middle of a lake while one of the biggest fireworks shows you've ever seen explodes directly above you.
