Free training sessions covering Microsoft Power BI, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and other Microsoft data related topics, presented by passionate users, MVPs, and you if you have something useful to share!
A virtual meeting is held on the first Thursday of every month @ 1 pm GMT/BST. It's a free-to-attend, informal gathering of like-minded people, with 1-2 speakers presenting an hour-long session including tips, techniques, and information on old, new, and upcoming technology.

We are looking to return to in-person, if you have access to a suitable venue in the centre of Birmingham please let us know!

Session Title: Every Second Counts: Real-Time Intelligence with Microsoft Fabric

Session Abstract:
In life and death situations, every second counts. This session explores how Microsoft Fabric’s real-time capabilities can be applied to solve urgent, high-impact problems in the real world. Using the relatable scenario of emergency room triage in a state hospital, we’ll examine how streaming dataflows, event processing, and dynamic analytics can be used to surface critical insights instantly, helping frontline staff make faster, more informed decisions.Rather than showcasing a finished solution, this talk focuses on the underlying architecture and tooling within Microsoft Fabric that enables developers and data professionals to build intelligent, responsive systems. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how to design for real-time data ingestion, model streaming scenarios, and visualize live metrics in Power BI. Whether you're working in healthcare, logistics, finance, or public services, this session will inspire new ways to leverage Fabric for time-sensitive, data-driven decision-making.
