Global Game Jam 2026 - Online Only

IMPORTANT UPDATE
Due to continuing weather conditions, our venue has had to cancel all in person events this weekend. This means that the event will take place online only. We will plan to stream the opening and closing ceremonies on our Discord Server. TSU will be closed this weekend, so adjust your plans accordingly.

We will update this event page, the GGJ jam site page, and post updates to our Discord server with more details as we figure things out after the change in plans.

Get ready for the 2026 Global Game Jam hosted by Nashville Game Developers!

Due to unforeseen weather conditions, we will be hosting the event online in the NashGameDev Discord server. In the server, check the #announcements channel for large announcements, and the #global-game-jam channel for coordinating. The link to join the NashGameDev Discord is:

Friday January 30, 2026
6:00 PM - Join the Discord and head over to the #global-game-jam channel to participate in online networking prior to the theme announcement.
7:00 PM - Opening Ceremony: we plan to stream the theme announcement and our opening presentation on Discord. Stick around for team formation.

Saturday January 31
Jam all day, from wherever you like. Share updates in the Discord!

Sunday February 1
More jamming.
5:00 PM - Closing ceremony and presentations online: we plan to stream these on Discord.
