Philosophical Garden
Georganiseerd door Philosophical Garden
Details
On the second Saturday of every month, we will hold a philosophical Garden with 3 selected topics that you can vote for upfront.
We’ve selected three potential topics for March - please vote for your preferred choice!
- Do the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few?
- Can people change?
- How would an ideal government deal with climate change?
We would like to select the topic a few days in advance in order to give all attendees some more time to reflect on the subject before we come together.
We recommend that you choose the subject that has the potential to challenge your knowledge, ideas, and preconceived notions. We will let you know the selected topic by the [09.03] in the comment section of the event.

With the weather getting better we will start again to meet offline in the Kaskantine Garden so dress accordingly the weather is supposed to be good but we never know.
Note 1: Our aim is not to convince anyone of anything, but to try to understand why we think the way we do. We’re not looking for consensus in these conversations, but for a lively exchange of ideas and perspectives. We’re looking forward to discussing new things and challenging our existing preconceptions in a respectful way! Each session will have a moderator who will guide the conversation and make sure it stays on track.
Note 2: We understand that life happens and sometimes you won’t be able to join the meetup. However, to allow others the opportunity to join on time and help the organisers with planning, if you cannot make it, please cancel as early as possible, and at least 24 hours before the event. After 3 cancellations (changing your RSVP to ‘not-going’) or no-shows, your name will be automatically moved to the waiting list in future meetups. We do this all in good spirit😉 - it will just help us keep the events running smoothly!
