Let's explore the world of Free Open Source Software (FOSS) and how to contribute to it!
It's no secret that FOSS makes the world go round. Every company, and every individual relies on it in some way or another. And holding up the global economy is not easy! It all depends on creative contributors like yourself.
Whether you want to make our CV stand out as a FOSS contributor, gain new skills, find meaning in giving back to the community or simply help others build a cool 😎 solution, we got your back!
Together we are going to take a look at how to find problems that interest you and how to take a stab at it. Skill level? No worries! Most projects need documentation writers, just as urgently as they need bugfixers or amazing new features. And many have specially curated beginner issues!
Join the PyLadies Amsterdam at PyCon NL to learn...
- ... why FOSS matters!
- ... how to find issues to solve.
- ... how to communicate with other contributors.
And who knows, maybe you'll be making your very first contribution!
