In this talk, we will look at some of the limitations of traditional create/read/update/delete (CRUD) applications and see if we can get any benefits from treating data as immutable, only allowing create and read.

19:45 - Talk - Maarten van Vliet (Awkward) - Elixir for Rubyists
An introduction to Elixir for Ruby programmers. Elixir is a new functional programming language in part inspired by Ruby. We'll go into its history, syntax and ecosystem and discuss how it is the same and how it is different compared to Ruby. Lastly, we'll discuss why it is worth checking out.
