Walking meditations on Tao Te Ching
Details
Dear friends
During this event we will concentrate on verses from chapter 34 of Tao Te Ching. We will reflect together this chapter and then will go for a 20 minute walking meditation in the park!!
Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu is a chinese classical text with 81 verses of wisdom. Though Tao Te Ching has been interpreted subjectively according to who is reading it, for a seeker on the path of wisdom it is a wonderful and precise guide to the process of becoming an enlightened being, to accomplish, within oneself, a high level of spiritual cultivation.
Verse 34 of Tao Te Ching
"Great Tao flows everywhere
both left and right.
All beings depend on it to live.
It holds nothing back.
It accomplishes much
yet makes no claim to it.
It nourishes the ten thousand beings
yet does not act as their master.
We can call it small
yet all beings return to it
and it does not act as their master.
It can be called great
yet it does not strive to be great.
In this way it achieves greatness."
Welcome to a beautiful reflection and walking meditation experience!
